Nowhere near as good as the media rave reviews would suggest. There are genuinely funny moments; touching and affecting moments too; and the relationship between the two sisters makes for great reading. But the characters' motivations lack credibility far too often, and the unspecified mental illness, not based on any real mental illness, just seems like the author is cheating, as it is this illness that drives the whole narrative. Read it for the laughs, but expect to be frustrated and disappointed.
